DUBAI, UAE / RankWire.AI / July 16, 2026: flydubai will expand its Dubai to Bangkok operations to two flights a day from July 18, responding to robust demand recorded within weeks of launching the route. The airline introduced daily services to Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport on July 1 and has now confirmed that a second daily frequency will be added, significantly increasing available seats between the United Arab Emirates and Thailand during the peak summer travel season. Both services will continue operating from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport, offering passengers greater flexibility for travel to one of Southeast Asia’s busiest destinations.

The schedule enhancement also coincides with higher frequencies to Krabi, where flydubai is increasing operations from four weekly flights to daily service. Together, the two destinations will give the carrier a total of 21 flights each week to Thailand. Bangkok becomes a larger part of flydubai’s Southeast Asian network, complementing existing operations to Krabi as well as Langkawi and Penang in Malaysia. The airline said the expanded schedule strengthens connectivity between Dubai and Thailand while providing additional travel options for business and leisure passengers.

Sudhir Sreedharan, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at flydubai, said customer response to the Bangkok route had exceeded expectations following its launch earlier this month. He said the introduction of a second daily frequency reflects sustained demand and allows travellers to benefit from more convenient departure times. Sreedharan added that Don Mueang Airport offers efficient access to Bangkok, making the destination attractive for both tourism and commercial travel. Although the airline has not disclosed passenger volumes or load factors, the revised timetable increases Bangkok services from seven to 14 flights each week.

Passengers travelling on the route will continue to benefit from the long-standing codeshare agreement between flydubai and Emirates. The partnership enables customers to book through itineraries across a combined network exceeding 240 destinations while checking baggage to their final destination. Operating from Emirates’ hub at Dubai International Airport also allows travellers to connect conveniently to destinations throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas using coordinated schedules between the two airlines.

flydubai said return Economy Class Lite fares from Dubai to Bangkok begin at AED 2,600, while Business Class return fares start from AED 12,000. Travellers departing Bangkok can purchase Economy Class Lite tickets from THB 21,000 and Business Class fares from THB 91,000. The Bangkok route is served by Boeing 737 aircraft featuring the airline’s latest cabin products, including lie-flat Business Class seating on selected aircraft, upgraded Economy Class interiors, onboard entertainment and meal services, with final pricing remaining subject to travel dates and seat availability.

The Bangkok expansion forms part of broader network growth across flydubai’s international operations. The carrier recently inaugurated services to Benghazi in Libya and is preparing to launch flights to Aleppo in Syria on July 20, followed by Pokhara in Nepal on September 23. Since commencing operations in 2009, flydubai says it has carried more than 137 million passengers and now operates a fleet of 97 Boeing 737 aircraft serving more than 140 destinations across 58 countries. The airline also notes that it has introduced direct air links to over 100 destinations previously not served by a UAE national carrier.

With the additional Bangkok frequency taking effect on July 18, flydubai will operate 14 weekly services between Dubai and Bangkok alongside seven weekly flights to Krabi. Customers can reserve seats through the airline’s digital platforms, customer contact centre, travel shops and authorised travel agents. The revised schedule further expands travel options between the Gulf and Thailand while strengthening onward international connections through Dubai via the Emirates codeshare network.
